​Youth representatives from the Dhaka Division recently participated in a Youth Capacity Building Session on Utilizing the Youth-Led Media Scorecard, organized as part of the “Shomotay Tarunno – Youth for Equality” project. The session aimed to equip young leaders with practical skills to evaluate media representation and identify harmful stereotypes.

​Through interactive discussions and hands-on activities, participants explored how newspapers, television, advertisements, and digital platforms shape public perceptions and social norms. They learned to translate media observations into evidence-based insights, which can be leveraged to advocate for more responsible, balanced, and inclusive storytelling.

​By empowering youth to become critical media observers, this initiative enables them to challenge stereotypes and drive positive transformation across Bangladesh’s media landscape.

​The “Shomotay Tarunno – Youth for Equality” initiative is a four-year project funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangladesh and jointly implemented by Plan International Bangladesh and JAAGO Foundation Trust.
